CLEANING THE EARS TO THE BROWN TOY POODLE “I THINK”

Ear cleaning is an important aspect of the overall care of “Credo” our brown toy poodle, as it helps prevent infections and ear problems. Here are some useful tips for regularly cleaning a brown toy poodle’s ears:

STEPS:

1. Frequency of cleaning: It is advisable to clean the brown toy poodle’s ears at least once a week, or more often if the dog has particularly hairy ears or is prone to ear infections.

2. Necessary tools: Before you begin cleaning, make sure you have all the necessary tools, such as an ear solution specifically formulated for dogs, and appropriate wet wipes.

3. Cleaning procedure: To clean the ears of the brown toy poodle “Credo” we start by gently applying ear solution to the outside of the ear and the pinna. We gently massage the base of the ear to distribute the solution and dissolve any accumulated debris or earwax.

4. Earwax removal: We use special wet wipes to gently remove earwax and visible debris from the surface of the ear. Always avoid inserting objects such as Q-tips inside the ear canal, as they may damage the eardrum or cause irritation. We always recommend a qualified groomer for excess hair removal.

5. Ear examination: During cleaning, we carefully check the poodle’s ears for any signs of infection, such as redness, swelling, abnormal discharge or bad odor. If you notice any of these symptoms, contact your veterinary doctor immediately for evaluation and appropriate treatment.

6. Precautions: Maintain a consistent routine of cleaning your poodle’s ears and take precautions to avoid damaging or irritating the ear during the process. Be sure to dry the ears completely after cleaning to prevent moisture and bacterial growth.
